Early 1960sA Primary School begins
Educational activities in the BHEL Township formally began in the early 1960s with the opening of a Primary School, which grew into the BHE Tagore Middle School in the later period.
22 Jan 1963Registration of the Society
Higher education oversight came into formal existence on 22 January 1963 with registration under the M.P. Societies Registration Act, 1959.
April 2002Four Middle Schools merged
Over time, the educational network evolved to serve the community’s expanding needs. In April 2002, four Middle Schools were merged into different Higher Secondary Schools, consolidating staff, students, and infrastructure.

The governing committee of BSM comprises a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and other members nominated by BHEL from within and outside BHEL. BSM has a critical and key role to play in providing a good and healthy environment in the schools, enabling staff to provide quality education and to be a centre of educational excellence.
